Italian Roots — A Memoir of Heritage, Family, and the Tuscan Dream

What if the journey back to your family’s homeland became the journey back to yourself?

For decades, Vicky Carabini felt an unexplainable pull toward Italy, a longing woven into her childhood stories, her grandparents’ memories, and the whispered connections of generations before her. Italian Roots is the heartfelt, immersive memoir of a woman determined to reclaim her Italian identity, reconnect with lost family, and build a life in the country that always felt like home.

From the hilltop towns of Tuscany to the olive groves of Sarteano, Vicky shares vivid stories of restoring old farmhouses, navigating Italian bureaucracy in her pursuit of citizenship, celebrating local festivals, harvesting olives, and building lifelong friendships with the villagers who welcome her as famiglia.
